Pro-Fit Drywall Screws are made of steel and come with a phosphate coating that reduces friction during installation and increases corrosion protection. A phosphate coating also provides a surface that binds well with paint and joint compound however it only provides a minimal corrosion resistance so interior applications only is recommended. A bugle head helps the screw tighten down and counter sink the drywall while the phillips cross-shape recess is designed so that the bit will ride out under strain helping to prevent over tightening on the drywall. Course threads and a sharp point provide superior holding power in wood and a quick drive into wood or drywall.
